André & Tony formed X(Melon) in 2001. We had a small idea of how the music should sound like. After a few weeks we had enough material to choose from so we could record our first demo-CD. The music was well received by every one. In 2003 Gianni became the backbone of X(Melon). After numerous demos and club gigs, we were contacted by the australian Indie label Smashed Records, asking if we were interested in making a 6 track EP to be released in Australia (at first). We jumped aboard the train, and after a while we were very well received by magazines and radio stations all over the world.
We’ve made music with various styles and with very well known artists in the Swedish music business.

Since the beginning we have been very busy to make our stuff sound like it is suppose to, but it will never be close enough. We hope that we'll never find out how the songs should really sound like. When we do, it will not be fun anymore, because then we have forgotten how to develop our music and ourselves.
In the last years we have thrown in a bit more aggression and power in to the music with a large slice of curiosity of testing new styles. Maybe that transformation from Alternative pop/rock to more powerful and mature power pop/rock have something to do with all the dead ends we encountered through the years.
